Simple

For me, love is love. As simple as that. Love is not about being in a relationship. Love is not about kissing and cuddling. Love is not about texting all day, calling at night. Love is a verb itself, and I don’t need another verb to define it.
Being in a relationship should have been simple too. There should be no rule or Code of Conducts. It doesn’t even need a name. When you both confess that you love each other, then you are in a relationship. Whatever name it has.
That is why I won’t ask you to text me all day. Call me every night. I won’t ask you to tell me you love me, and I don’t need you to tell me you miss me every single hour. I won’t expect you to remember my favorite things. I’m capable of paying my meal on our date, even yours. I won’t force you to tell me about your exes, because I believe what’s past is past. I won’t ask you to choose between me and your friends, because love is not about choosing and I don’t want to be an option.
I won’t promise that I will love you forever. I won’t promise that I will always stay by your side. I won’t promise that I will always be honest with you. I won’t promise that I will never hurt you. I won’t ask you to promise those things either. Because in this world, nothing, not even a single situation, lasts forever. So why bother promising things you’d only end up breaking?
The only thing I want from you is that I would be able to find love whenever I look into your eyes. To feel love radiating from your smile, embracing me in your hugs, captivating me in your kisses. It will be okay if you hurt me once in awhile, because I know you would have your reasons and in the end that is because you love me. So I won’t need any motivation words to keep me going, because your love in everything you’re doing for me is enough for that.
Honey, love is a simple well-defined matter.
